Things to do in Reykjavik
Here are some of the cool things you can do while at Reykjavik:

Hallgrímskirkja church - It is one of the most beautiful churches and the tallest in Iceland. It took 41 years to build Hallgrímskirkja church and completed in 1986. You can take an elevator to the top for a city view which is stunning.
Skólavörðustígur - This is the market street just down the church. Lots of good food and stores to buy souvenirs.
Sun Voyager - One of the most entrancing and unique things to see in Reykjavik was built in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the city’s being officially founded in 1786. That’s the so-called Sun Voyager, a sculpture of a ship that’s among the most photographed sights in town.
Blue Lagoon - Keep at least 4 hours to spend at the Blue Lagoon. It's an experience not to miss. Book in advance to ensure you get the time slot you want as they book out pretty quick. Their facemask and drinks are amazing. You also have a store to buy the products before you exit. Do not forget to take a walk outside in the lagoon along the pathway which is also very beautiful.
Whale watching - based on the season, definitely go whale watching.
Northern lights - During the winter months, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the amazing dancing northern lights. Even though Reykjavik is towards the south of the country, you can still witness some beautiful northern lights here. We recommend booking a tour to ensure you go to the right place for viewing.
Strandarkirkja - This is a church with a history about how the angel saved the sailors and the sailors built it in her memory. Its a beautiful church about an hour from the Keflavik airport.
Fagradalsfjall - With the latest volcanic eruptions, Fagradalsfjall has become one of the most visited places in Iceland. There are different entries and routes for this hike. We highly recommend staying on the trail and wearing hiking boots. There are also tour companies that take you on a guided tour if that is of interest to you.
If you are spending more than 2 days, we recommend going on the Golden Circle drive.
